Nature/HDR!

I have said that portrait photography is my favorite area to shoot, but I also enjoy shooting nature photography when I get the chance!
Whenever I'm out on a shoot, I just love looking at the sky, particularly when it's at sunset! But I also enjoy photographing flowers and any butterflies near me!
When I was in school, I took a couple of class trips to a lovely park called Cheekwood! It's such a nice park in Nashville, and especially in the spring and summer time it is breathtaking! If you ever want to go out on a date, or go out with your family and you're in Nashville or traveling to Nashville I would definitely check out this park!
One of my favorite things about the park is that they have a ton of flowers with butterflies flitting around them!
Of course photographing butterflies or any insects it takes a lot of patience and a close eye!

In the title of the blog, I mentioned a term called HDR. When I photograph sunsets, I like to use a photo technique called HDR, which stands for High Dynamic Range. Which basically means, you take multiple shots at different exposures, and you use an HDR program (photoshop has an excellent plugin called HDR Pro) and it combines the photos and you come up with a spectacular image with great highlight and shadow definition! I would also suggest using a good Tripod, because you need to have the exact same frame, and shot for every image. (I left a website below, that has different tutorials for different programs for HDR)

I want my blog to not only be a place to show off my work but to be a help to other photographers or people interested in learning new techniques!
